I don’t know if you want my life story, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say…no.
But, in order to explain what (and why) you should consider me, it requires a little backstory.
I am a writer, inbound marketer, content marketer, and copywriter based in Singapore, who got into marketing by accident.
It started with a trial into Public Relations, with a side of a Diploma in Media and Communications from Singapore Polytechnic. That experience led to stints in magazine and web writing, PR management, and marketing in a MNC.
And then there was a hard left into corporate culture, where I joined The Walt Disney Company in Corporate Communications, before jumping into a boutique Inbound Marketing Agency, specialising in HubSpot and online marketing for Technology Leaders.
Most recently, I was the Inbound Marketing Manager at In Mind Cloud Pte Ltd, a manufacturing sales SaaS start-up, where I specialised in content creation, marketing automation, and online marketing in general.
I spent my days creating eBooks, Whitepapers, Infographics, Blog Posts, and Inbound Campaigns in HubSpot. The Resources Page was set up within 2 months of my employment, and has led to over a thousand downloads in the first year.
What all that above meant is that my current role as a Freelance Content Marketer for Technology Start-Ups stems from:
- Experience in juggling both strategy and execution for start-ups
- Ability to write all manner of content, from press releases to blogs to white papers
- HubSpot marketing qualifications, which allow me to understand the role of inbound marketing for lead generation
- Experience writing for the technology sector and audience, having reported on multiple conferences on Industry 4.0
- Knowledge that start-ups, in the end, are messy, fast-paced, and ever-changing in their needs
I want to help start-ups grow by helping their marketers craft great content.
